Dobby privacy policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Dobby is a personal assistant run by a single owner for their own use. The only Google account it connects to is the owner's.

What data it accesses

Only with the owner's explicit consent through Google's sign-in screen: the owner's Gmail (read, send, label), Google Calendar (read and write), Google Sheets (read and write), and read-only access to the owner's Google Drive, Docs and Contacts.

How the data is used

Only to carry out tasks the owner asks for. The data is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising. Dobby runs on the owner's own server and mainly uses a language model the owner self-hosts. Some features, such as image analysis, may send the relevant content to an external AI API the owner has configured, only to complete the requested task.

Storage

The OAuth token is stored only on the owner's server. Google data is not copied into any other service.

Revoking access

Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.

Dobby's use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
